This document explains our opening times, the sessions in which funded hours can be used, charges for additional hours, meals and activities, and the option to provide your own food. It helps you understand what is included and choose the arrangements that suit your family.
Read it before agreeing your child’s sessions. Please speak to the nursery about availability, your funded hours and a personalised breakdown of any additional costs.

Up to 30 hours a week for 38 weeks a year (1,140 hours), from the term after a child turns 9 months until they start reception or reach compulsory school age, subject to eligibility. For 3 and 4 year olds, this includes the universal 15 hours.
Eligible children can receive 15 hours a week for 38 weeks a year from the term after they turn 2. Eligibility depends on family circumstances or the child’s needs and care history.
Funding is an annual entitlement. Where hours are stretched across more weeks, fewer hours are available each week; stretching does not increase the annual total. Our offer document lists term-time and stretched session options. Term-time places are subject to availability, with a cap in our under-2s room.
For working-family funding, apply before the relevant term’s deadline and reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months. Share your code with the nursery so we can check it and agree your start date and sessions.
Funded entitlement hours must be available free of charge. You do not have to buy additional hours, meals, consumables or optional activities as a condition of taking a funded place. Charges for extras must be agreed with you.
Our document lists additional hours, meals, football and music sessions, and other charges. No non-food consumables charge is listed. You can opt out of meal charges by providing packed food for every mealtime your child attends, following our healthy eating guidelines.
Optional activities are a parental choice. Children who do not take part must continue to receive care and learning that meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Please discuss the arrangements and reasonable alternatives with the nursery before choosing extras.
The Department for Education’s funding guidance asks local authorities to ensure providers make their funded-hour patterns, extra charges and alternatives clear to families. This document brings that information together. It is not an Ofsted inspection report or a document prescribed by Ofsted.
